Soft enough to feel.
Strong enough to change.

Healing begins with Soft Power. Real strength is cultivated, not imposed.

We practice therapy rooted in evidence-based care and honest exploration. We believe change emerges through awareness, emotional clarity, and self-trust. We know that change starts in the midst of conflict and we can help you reconnect with your inner authority, so change feels intentional, embodied, and sustainable. Healing here is steady, clear, and aligned with who you are becoming.

The Approach

What to expect from working together.

Founded on the belief that healing does not require force, Soft Power Psychotherapy supports clients who sense they are on the edge of change. We work with individuals ready to move forward — not through pressure or urgency — but through clarity, emotional regulation, and empowered choice. Our role is not to push transformation, but to create the conditions where it can emerge.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does Soft Power Psychotherapy offer online therapy?

Yes. Online therapy is our primary service. We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video sessions for individuals, couples, and families, so you can meet with a licensed therapist from anywhere private.

What states do you serve?

We're licensed to provide therapy throughout Texas and New Jersey. Wherever you are in either state, you can be seen by video — from major metros like Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Newark, and Jersey City to smaller towns and rural areas.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes. Research consistently shows telehealth therapy produces outcomes equivalent to in-person sessions for most concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues — without the commute or waiting room.

Do you accept insurance?

We're in-network with Aetna, Aetna EAP, BCBS of New Jersey and Texas, United Healthcare, Optum, Optum EAP, Cigna, and Oscar. Self-pay rates and sliding-scale options are also available, with no surprise billing.

How much does therapy cost?

Self-pay rates are $120–$150 for a 50-minute individual session and $180–$220 for an 80-minute couples or family session, with sliding-scale options available. If you use insurance, your cost depends on your plan's copay and deductible.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, child and adolescent therapy, group therapy, and online therapy — drawing on evidence-based methods including CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, IPT, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Is Soft Power Psychotherapy LGBTQ+ affirming?

Yes. We are a proudly LGBTQ+ affirming, women-owned practice. Every identity is welcomed, respected, and celebrated in our care.
